Jersey Tiger Moth

This beautiful moth was on our pine tree and was a blur of bright orange as it flew away.

My fresh  home grown  tomatoes  make this so perfect. .only a little sea salt to finish.

Thought I was suffering from some form of tinitus hearing buzzing all the time. .

Grapes seem to be growing well

The grapes  seem to be  growing  well.i will probably dry them as I'm not  sure  how many  you need to make wine  and it would be dreadful if it was awful  after all the  effort. .maybe next year!

Eating away at dandelions. .do hope he stays off the  veggies! Very hairy  and can cause severe skin reaction  apparently.

Melons growing!

After   heavy rainfall Sunday  night  this melon has grown from being the size of a golf ball  as you can see in my previous post to  now being the size of a large grapefruit! I did leave my foot in the picture on purpose to give a  sense of proportion! !

Olive bread disaster!

So much for carefully folding in the olives. Hopefully it will still taste  delicious !

Have been very disciplined and watered  regularly in the heat. Courgettes still going strong.

Survived the storm

So pleased to see that this field  of sunflowers managed to escape the  damage Wednesdays  storm  caused. Mother Nature is truly wonderful.

We watched this amazing creature  move quickly over  our gravel. Would love to  identify it. Any  ideas greatly appreciated.
